YOUTH SUBCULTURE: SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF A MODERN RUSSIAN SOCIETY

This article addresses the formation of youth subcultures in Vladivostok, Russia as a mechanism for those participants to adapt to the rapid cultural changes experienced in the 20^th century. From a researcher's standpoint, it identifies the social subculture's origin, structure and function as observed in the socialization of the Plakha group.
